Selenium is an essential trace element, which should be provided daily in our diet. It is needed by all body cells and plays a role in the optimal functioning of our immune system. The required selenium intake is 30-70 mg per day, which is often not achieved with a normal diet. In times of severe psychological or physical stress our selenium requirement increases and this can easily lead to a deficiency.
The capsules also contain chlorella pyrenoidosa as a filler, which is an alga containing valuable amino acids.
