Healthy & aromatic: stewing in the oven with the Römertopf Trend
Cooking in a Roman pot is more modern than ever! In the Römertopf Trend the ingredients stew without adding fat in your own juice . You can cook fat-free in the Römertopf - full of delicious flavours. Watering before each use ensures that the pores in the clay slowly reproduce moisture to the contents. The ingredients are gently cooked in their own steam, which makes the Römertopf dishes so tasty! Vitamins and minerals are preserved and are not poured off afterwards, as with cooking.
Food grade glaze for easy cleaning
For practical and hygienic reasons, the Römertopf is glazed on the inside. After use, rinse with hot water and mild dishwashing detergent. Or simply put it in the dishwasher. The Römertopf Trend is suitable for microwave and oven.

Tips for a juicy roast in a Roman pot
Before each use of the Römertopf Trend, please water it for 10 minutes as described in the instructions for use. After soaking, fill it with the ingredients, close the lid and place the Römertopf in the oven or microwave. If the roast is to have a beautiful crust in the Römertopf, remove the lid 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
Recommended oven frying temperatures:
Circulating air: 180° C
Top and bottom heat 220° C
Gas stove: Start with level 3 and slowly heat up to 4 or 5.
The important thing is: Always place in the cold oven and then set the temperature!
If you want to add liquid when cooking, please always make sure that it is warmed up. Sudden temperature shocks can damage the Roman pot.

The Römertopf Trend, like all Römertopf products, is produced exclusively in the manufactory in the Westerwald. Most work steps are carried out by hand, as the material hardly permits machining.
Römertopf products are food safe and are regularly tested in independent laboratories. They also meet the high requirements of the Californian guidelines, some of which are stricter than EU directives. Due to the firing temperature, size deviations of up to 7% are possible.
