This replacement air purifier filter fits all 5200-series Dust Magnet units. The Blueair Dust Magnet replacement filter consists of a particle filter with activated carbon. Together with the pre-filters, the combination filter cleans the air of 99% of particles.
After the air passes through the built-in pre-filters and traps dust, pet hair and other larger particles, it is passed over the Dust Magnet's combination filter unit. The HEPA filter cleans the air of small and minute particles such as fine dust, pollen, mold spores, animal allergens, bacteria and viruses. The activated carbon primarily ensures that light odors, VOCs and other gaseous substances are filtered out of the air.
Installing the Blueair Dust Magnet replacement filter is quick and easy: pull the loop of the used filter and remove the filter unit from the unit. Insert the Blueair Dust Magnet replacement filter. Dispose of the old filter with your plastic trash. Press the filter change timer for a few seconds to reset it to zero.

When to use replacement air purifier filters?
Your Dust Magnet calculates the service life of the filter and signals with its integrated filter change indicator when a new Blueair Dust Magnet replacement filter should be inserted. This is based on measured values determined by the built-in sensors and the degree of filter contamination. When the combi-filter should be changed therefore depends on the duration and intensity of use. As a rule, a filter change is due at intervals of six to twelve months. A red light on the air purifier indicates the recommended time of the required filter change. The maximum service life of the Blueair Dust Magnet replacement filter is one year.
