The WECK cylinder jar with glass lid is suitable for preserving, fermenting and neatly storing a variety of foods. Its tall, slim shape requires little shelf space while providing room for larger quantities.
The transparent glass keeps the contents clearly visible. The cylinder jar can be used in the kitchen, pantry or on the dining table. The set contains six jars, each supplied with a matching glass lid.
Tall Cylinder Shape for the Kitchen and Pantry
The straight shape is particularly suitable for long ingredients and dry pantry foods. Pasta, rice, oats and pulses can be filled and stored neatly.
The jar may be used for:

Preserving Larger Quantities
The cylinder jar can be used to preserve fruit, vegetables, soups, sauces and compote. Its slim opening also allows longer ingredients to be arranged neatly inside.
For preserving, the glass lid is used together with a suitable preserving ring and preserving clips. The glass lid alone does not create an airtight seal.
WECK preserving rings with a diameter of 80 mm are required for this jar. Preserving rings and clips are not included.
Fermenting and Pickling
The jar is also suitable for preparing pickled or fermented foods. Depending on the recipe, it may be used for vegetables, sauerkraut or kimchi.
Suitable recipes, hygienic preparation methods and accessories intended for the chosen process should be used. Depending on the application, an additional insert, weight or suitable lid may be required.
Storing Dry Pantry Foods
Dry ingredients can be identified easily and organised clearly inside the transparent jar. Its tall shape is especially practical for pasta and other foods that may not fit conveniently into shorter jars.
A matching WECK plastic lid with a diameter of 80 mm can be used for covered storage or refrigeration. It is available separately.
Serving and Decorative Uses
The cylinder jar may also be used for serving drinks, long snacks or larger portions. It can additionally be used as a vase or for decorative arrangements.
When using the jar with candles, plants or other decorative elements, follow the relevant safety and care instructions.
Dishwasher-Safe Cleaning
The jar and glass lid are dishwasher-safe and can be cleaned easily after use.
Before preserving or fermenting, all components should be cleaned thoroughly and checked for cracks, chips or other damage. Damaged jars or glass lids must not be used.
