The RIESS casserole with chrome rim is suitable for cooking, braising, heating and keeping different dishes warm. Its straight shape and two enamel side handles allow secure handling with suitable oven gloves.
The steel core absorbs heat quickly and distributes it across the base. Its smooth enamel surface is flavour-neutral and resistant to cuts and scratches. The robust chrome rim provides a stable upper finish.
A matching lid can be purchased separately and is not included.

Material
The casserole is made from enamelled sheet steel. Its steel core transfers heat quickly, while the enamel provides a smooth cooking surface.
Finish
The RIESS casserole is part of the Classic Pastel collection. The upper edge is finished with a chrome rim.
A matching lid in the appropriate size and colour is available separately.
Available Sizes
The RIESS casserole is offered in diameters of 18 and 24 cm.
The 18 cm version has an inner diameter of 17.4 cm, a depth of 8.75 cm and a usable capacity of 1.6 litres. Its maximum filling capacity is 2.1 litres. The external dimensions are approximately 25.1 × 19.8 × 8.9 cm, and the weight is around 0.8 kg.
The 24 cm version has an inner diameter of 23.2 cm, a depth of 10.45 cm and a usable capacity of 3.5 litres. Its maximum filling capacity is 4.5 litres. The external dimensions are approximately 31.9 × 26 × 10.6 cm, and the weight is around 1.33 kg.
Suitable Heat Sources
The casserole is suitable for induction, gas and glass-ceramic hobs. It can also be used in the oven, on a grill and over an open fire.
The manufacturer recommends a maximum operating temperature of 220°C.
Use
The casserole is suitable for vegetables, soups, stews, meat dishes and braised recipes. Depending on the hob, the heat can be reduced or switched off shortly before the end of the cooking time.
The enamel handles become hot during use. Oven gloves or suitable handle covers should be used when lifting the pot.
Care Instructions
Remove all labels before first use. The casserole can then be rinsed with boiling water and a small amount of vinegar.
Dishwasher cleaning is possible. Hand washing with warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft sponge or brush is recommended to preserve the shine.
Soak stubborn residue or briefly boil water with washing-up liquid inside the pot. Do not use wire brushes, steel wool, abrasive powders containing sand or sponges with ceramic particles.
