A very special design
The cookware from the Römertopf BBQ series can be used as a grill plate for charcoal grill, gas grill and oven. The grill plate is also suitable for hotplates, microwave ovens and ovens. The Plancha was developed by Römertopf together with chef Johann Lafer and is characterised by its grill knobs. With the rectangular Plancha the fat spreads around the knobs and the food lies on the knobs. So sausages, vegetables, fish and meat have contact with the fat for a nice crust, but do not swim in it.

The Römertopf grill plate for charcoal grills and all other types of grills is more than just a healthy alternative to aluminum grill trays. The Plancha made of fireproof and glazed clay can come into direct contact with the charcoal or flame. The material is temperature resistant up to 900°C and the non porous, hard glaze is scratch resistant and easy to clean. Due to these properties, the grill plate can be used for hotplates, ovens, microwave ovens and gas cookers. Even delicate ingredients such as scampi, mussels and fruit can be prepared wonderfully with the Plancha.
